These terms apply to your use of Ruckstride, provided by DIGITALSPROUT LTD. By using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Using Ruckstride
Ruckstride helps you record outdoor rucks and indoor weighted walks, maintain a workout history and review your goals. You must be legally able to agree to these terms or have permission from a parent or guardian where required. The app is not directed to children under 13.
Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement governs the iOS software licence. These service terms supplement that licence and the applicable App Store terms. Apple is not the provider of Ruckstride’s workout journal or support service.
Your activity and the limits of recording
Ruckstride is a fitness recordkeeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose or treat a condition, or determine a safe pack weight, route or training intensity for you. Plans and goals are general organisational features, not personalised medical or coaching advice. We do not promise a particular fitness outcome or precise calorie expenditure.
Choose activity appropriate to your experience and circumstances, use suitable equipment and pay attention to your surroundings. Stop if you feel unwell. If you are unsure whether weighted walking is suitable for you, seek advice from a qualified professional.
Outdoor distance, elevation, pace and routes are estimates affected by GPS reception, permissions, terrain, battery and device operation. Indoor distance is estimated from your manually entered treadmill speed multiplied by active workout time. Check that the speed value matches the units displayed in the app; an incorrect value or unit produces an incorrect estimate. Ruckstride does not import workouts from Apple Health or HealthKit.
Background recording may be interrupted by iOS or a device shutdown. Check important records before using or sharing them. Ruckstride is not an emergency, navigation or location-sharing service.
Ruckstride Pro subscriptions
Core outdoor and indoor tracking, your local workout history, deletion controls and a JSON export of your data are available without Pro. Optional Ruckstride Pro offers additional features such as plans, trends and CSV or GPX convenience exports. The app shows the features included in the offer before purchase. Available subscription options are monthly and yearly; the current local price, currency, billing period and any applicable offer are displayed in the app and Apple’s purchase confirmation. No purchase is completed without your confirmation.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period unless cancelled before renewal. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. If a trial or introductory offer is displayed, its duration, eligibility and subsequent price are shown before you agree; no trial is promised by these terms.
Manage or cancel through iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ruckstride, or the app’s subscription-management link. Apple’s cancellation instructions explain the current process. Deleting the app, erasing records or contacting support does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access ordinarily continues until the paid period ends, subject to Apple’s rules for trials and refunds.
Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used for the original purchase to recover eligible Pro access. An internet connection may be needed to verify access. Restoring a purchase restores entitlement, not local workout history. RevenueCat helps manage that entitlement.
Apple handles billing and refund requests through Report a Problem. Refund eligibility depends on Apple’s rules and applicable law. Nothing here removes statutory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights. Any changes to subscription pricing or renewal terms are communicated through the required Apple process.
Your records and exports
Your workout content remains yours. You permit the app to process it as needed to deliver the features you choose. Workouts are stored locally; we do not provide a server backup or an account-based recovery service. Keep copies of information you need before erasing records, deleting the app or changing devices.
You decide when and where to save or share JSON, CSV and GPX exports. A route can reveal private locations. Check the file and its destination before sharing. Exported files are not a full restorable app backup, and we cannot remove copies held by recipients or other services. Exercising your applicable privacy rights does not require a Pro subscription.
Responsible use and ownership
You may use Ruckstride for personal use on supported devices you own or control, subject to the applicable licence and App Store rules. The app’s software, design and branding belong to their respective owners; your workout records remain yours.
Do not distribute unauthorised copies, interfere with the app or its purchase services, misuse support, or infringe someone else’s rights. These restrictions do not prohibit anything that applicable law or an open-source licence expressly allows.
Availability and your legal rights
We aim to maintain a useful and reliable app and may release fixes or change features. Maps, purchases and other platform services depend on Apple, RevenueCat, connectivity and device compatibility. We cannot promise uninterrupted service, complete GPS tracks or compatibility with every future device or operating-system version.
We remain responsible for obligations imposed by applicable law, including remedies for defective digital content or services. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If we discontinue the app or make a material adverse change to paid functionality, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and respect applicable cancellation or refund rights. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights relating to an existing purchase.
Ending use, updates and concerns
You can stop using Ruckstride at any time. Cancel any subscription separately and keep any records you need before deleting local data. We may update these terms when the app or legal requirements change, with appropriate notice of material changes and agreement where required.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without removing mandatory consumer protections where you ordinarily live. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction; you retain any right under applicable law to bring a claim in your local courts.
Contact us if you have a question or concern so we can try to resolve it.
